Playing style

Yattara is one of the most highly rated wingers in Turkey due to his technical aptitude. His unpredictable dribbling and flair, combined with good crossing, enables him to be a potent attacking ability who created about 70 percent of the goal chances for his team’s strikers . He is also renowned for his composure in front of goal and from set pieces. Spanish coach Luis Aragones once stated that Yattara’s playing style is very similar to Ronaldinho.
Several big European clubs also wanted to sign him when he was playing for Trabzonspor. In May 2008, AS Roma wanted to sign him and it is said that both Roma and Yattara agreed terms. However, when Trabzonspor wanted Francesco Totti as an exchange from Roma, the deal fell through. On January 29, 2009, it was reported that Real Madrid were interested in signing Yattara, but they later decided against signing him, saying he wasn’t good enough.
